This program is for students in grades 6-8 to prepare them for being home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. Students learn essential Life-saving skills: First Aid, CPR and Rescue Skills

This program is a cooperative endeavor agreement with Jackson Parish Police Jury. This program places life-saving AED's, gloves, CPR face masks, Narcan, Life Vac Choking Device and CAT Tourniquets throughout the community including churches, golf course and community centers

This program serves Jackson Parish residents that are low income, underinsured or non-insured that are in need of durable medical equipment. Residents can come "borrow" wheelchairs, walkers, rollators, nebulizer bases and more. Please call for available DME. 

This program provides free life jacket stands at Jimmie Davis State Park, Caney Landing and Hooks Marina. Visitors to our waterways may borrow a life jacket from any of the three stands during the day and return them when they leave at the end of the day.

This program provides a backpack to our homeless with essentials including but not limited to: body wash, shampoo, deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, body wipes, hand warmers, light blanket, poncho, flashlight and water bottle. Individuals in this program will also receive assistance with setting up a Primary Care Provider, resources for applying to Medicaid/Medicare, SNAP and government issues phones and assistance with clothing as needed.

Fall Prevention Program

This program is for Seniors 65 and older that are a fall risk. We will provide an in-home assessment and balance score, make recommendations for safety measures, install needed hand bars for the bathrooms, slip resistant mats, provide slip resistant socks, night lights in low lit areas and walking devices (canes)

Life Jacket Loaner Program

This program provides Purple Crying and Infant CPR Training along with printed books and educational material. Participants will receive supplies to include but not limited to: breast pumps, pads, storage bags, baby lotion, shampoo, bathtub thermometers, medication safety syringes, wipes, shampoo, home safety kits and health kits
